Properties: white deliquescent crystalline powder with a density of 0.9G/CM3, sublimes at 300℃, melts at 580-585℃ with a vapor pressure of 133.3Pa (384℃). When being heated under pressure to a higher temperature, the crystal will change into an amorphous glass substance with easy absorption of moisture in the air. Being solved in water, it produces heat and white smoke.
Use: raw materials for phosphorus oxychloride and metaphosphoric acid, acrylic ester, surfactant, anhydrating agent, drying agent, anti-static agent, purified and analytical grade reagents for drugs and sugars.
